Collective Entertainment Media Agency

CEMA is a Media Company that my fellow partners and I created in order to pursue satisfactory outcomes from our work lives. We combine our strengths to all equally produce media content for local talent and more. My 'Editor' role involves sorting Raw Footage, Timeline Constructing, Colour Grading, and VFX using Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut.

SAE Institute

My time with SAE was productive and informative, I was taught the fundamentals of Media Production with the completion of group projects and individual projects. While my Story Telling capabilities and Editing Skills were developed from earlier on, I acquired Professional Production Experience which ranged from On-Set Lighting and Sound to Post-Production Editing and Colour Grading.

Social Media Content

Outside of Education and CEMA I have compiled a list of different Social Media Content that I have Edited, showcasing my ability handle multiple forms of Media.

Social Media Editing

I always have my thumb on the latest trends and have always been up-to-date with what's popular. I have that connection through age and generation where I will always be involved within any popular/viral social space. This benefits my ability to recognise ‘Cringe’ and identify the hits and misses of corporate social media content.

Music Video VFX

I have a passion for video editing that has been here for many years. The key elements of Video Editing that will translate well to an audience is Viewer Engagement. I understand the specific Audio and Visual cues that are required in order to capture viewers attention. The choices that I make in Post-Production almost always sit well with viewers, I understand the basics in structure and this translates well to Audience Retention.

Documentary Style Editing

I created the short documentary with one goal in mind, do not let the viewer disengage.

My skill as a video editor is viewer engagement. I understand ‘dead space’ and eliminate it, I discover usable pauses between dialogue for example to ensure the correct tone is passed on to the viewer. Many points within the short documentary are there for a reason, The loud and sudden jump between dialogue and footage are there to ‘wake up’ the viewer and recapture their attention. The specific audio cues from the dialogue that are then paired with the footage to remain coherent and so on and so forth.
